Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
C+P SPORTS MOLE

Alex Song has hailed the team spirit flowing through the West Ham United side following their solid early-season form.

The Hammers stunned Premier League champions Manchester City with a 2-1 win at Upton Park on Saturday to stay fourth in the table.

Sam Allardyce's side have now won four of their last five games, and Song, who was named man of the match in the win over City, cites a togetherness within the squad as the primary factor in their recent wins.

"The key to the win on Saturday was team spirit. We attack together, we defend together and at the moment we are playing great football," he told Sky Sports News.

"All the boys together are happy. We enjoy training together and that is why it is easier to play when you come to the pitch.

"Now we have to continue to improve game by game."

West Ham face Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

U.N.I.T.E.D.

The players and staff are, and most of the fans. Once the final few let go of their pychoses and join the backing of the club, fully, then we shall push on and see what we're really capable of.

Oh, and sign Song and sing songs.

Think the fans have always been behind the club - just now thankfully the club have agreed with the fans and are going in the direction that was being demanded.

The results of that speak for themselves

The club includes the manager, so your comment is a little misleading......but nice try.

Re: Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
So while people are behind the club yet dislike the manager we can't be successful? What a load of shit.

Re: Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
You can be behind the club but not agree with everything they do.

In the same way you love your kids and are behind them 100% but you still discipline them to make sure they turn into success, good, kind adults.

No time to get too deep into it, but disliking the manager is one thing, but fine, asking the manager to try and play a better more interesting style is another thing, but still fine. Could even sing a song like "We Want Better Football, tra-la-la-la-la!"

But to sing "FUCK OFF SAM LLARDYCE!" not please change your ways, but fuck off. Those are the complete idiots who need to have a good look at themselves. I'm not talking about sensible people like you who only said you wanted better football.

remember, I'm only throwing shit at the cunts who threw hatred at our manager....and captain.

So calm down.

It got the point across and worked

Those fans should be getting manager of the month and the ones that wanted the status quo should be thanking them.

Not surprised to still see them wriggle though

Stupidly flawed analogy.

The relationship between a club and a fan is nothing like child/ parent. Just begin to think it through and the treatment of players and manager and owners and ticketing etc, etc. that I have seen on here is nowhere close to loving discipline.

If you think it is, I am sure glad I am not your child.

Honest opinion

Do you think the fat one and the board would have changed the style or recruitment policy if we hadn't made our feelings made clear last year and it was the majority who were fucked off with the fat one not a vocal minority

Don't forget he wanted Wickham not Sakho , Song wasn't planned , Nolan if he wasn't injured would still be point of the diamond not Downing

He got lucky and its brilliant he has and I'm glad he has because we benefit

Mr Polite 9:14 Mon Oct 27
Re: Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
Of course it is flawed you dumb fuck, most if not all analogies are.

The point that you can be behind something, support something but not agree with everything about it was my main point which you well know - and it stands.

Fact is fans against many of the decisions at the club were spot on. Now the club have seen sense and agreed, we are doing better on the pitch.... Which is exactly what these fans were saying and the whole reason they were complaining in the first place.

Facts are there to see. We play better football we get better results, we stop hoofing, we get better results, Nolan stops playing, we get better results, we add a bit of pace, we get better results, we stop going into games intent on scoring rather than not conceding, we get better results, we do what loads of fans have been castigated for calling for - we get better results.

You're welcome

Sadly balders your post is flawed

You have asked for an honest opinion - and if it means backing down you know these Twonks won't admit to anything, even when the answer is obvious like your one

Balders thought club had said they had been chasing song for a while rather then not planned.

Eeew, feisty. You called me a name.

Maybe that's been your problem all along. Real analogies are not flawed and in my world, most aren't. Analogies and metaphors are critical to how we understand the world, if all were flawed, we would really struggle.

If that is actually the way you think, it explains a lot.

But don't angry just get smarter.

Re: Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
Balders 9.12. I think that's largely correct although BFS did have a decent side at Bolton for a couple of seasons. The 'luck' is that every single signing appears to have worked out to a degree varying from 'good' to 'spectacular'. The fact that the team has changed so much and yet gelled so quickly is little short of miraculous, and even if Mourinho was managing us you'd have to attribute a big slice of it to good fortune rather than managerial skill.

In terms of the fans being one of the main reasons for change I would think that's self evident from just about everything DS was saying at the end of the season.

Lily Hammer 9:35 Mon Oct 27
Re: Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
Loving disciplibe analogy?

So, if your son is not playing quite how you want them to, instead of talking to them, and communicating the changes you want, you would scream at you r son to fuck off?

Am I understanding this right.

And the club had always planned to strengthen gradually, as fits their means. It's not as if they were planning to tread water indefinitely.

I really feel the hatred of Sam, that some can't let go of, will take years off your lives.

Seriously. You need to let it go, and don't dwell on your errors. Sam would say the same. It's worth supporting this set up, including the manager, so jump aboard.

Your West Ham family will always welcome you back if your hearts in the right place.

Ern

Read somewhere and someone I know who is usually on the button , said that Song was never on the original list

Late on Barcelona decided they would loan him , he wanted to come to London and we got lucky Sullivan and the fat one did a good job selling us to him

I'm liking the change of fortune we are getting and long may it continue , but lets not rewrite history

Sam wanted Wickham instead of Sakho and didn't plan to have Song in Midfield or originally Downing a the tip of the diamond

But its gone brilliant so he deserves praise now , but god has it been boring and shit to get there over the last 3 years and he did deserve the sack

Re: Alex Song hails West Ham United spirit
i'm just happy that we are playing good football, whether that is because of injuries, signings, board, manager ,coach, fans - i dont give a fuck. Sometimes you just stumble across it and the chemistry works. What I will say is that all of the above have contributed to where we are now and I for one am absolutely fucking loving it REALLY loving it this is the best I have felt about the football we are playing in years.

So i am going to enjoy the ride.......

Because they make you admit that you were wrong and use flawed analogies. (Your words, remember)

Probably good thing to ignore if want to pretend you are making good arguments and believe people are taking them seriously.

Have a great day.
